Grant: Research for Pre-School Reading Program – 2001 to 2004
$45,000. “The unique SoundShapes Precision Phonics” preschool reading program was pilot – researched in the psychology dept. at Wittenberg University. The study indicated that a larger sample research should be undertaken. However, because the state requires its own method of teaching reading, it’s funding must follow only the use of their curriculum. A larger sample to research has thus not yet been found for the promising research that for over three decades has alleviated the symptoms of dyslexia in the students who attended the early reading program. However, SoundShapes Precision Phonics is being piloted as English as a Second Language in Mexico, Arabia, and with Alaskan Eskimos. The program is for purchase on our website (see innovative programs) and has been bought for local special educational programs.
