The Chickadee Program developes perceptual and motor skills as well as social and academic competence. General science, geography stimulate their curiosity and music is integrated into the curriculum daily. Children acquire a sense of order and independence as they work at their own pace and level. Their social skills develop through free choice of movement as they relate to others in the rich indoor and outdoor environments.
Lessons in math and language are scheduled according to the level of ability. They include all math operations through four operations in four digits with hands-on material and an introduction to geometry. The innovative phonetic reading program brings students to a second grade reading level while appearing to alleviate symptoms of dyslexia.
